Vocalist / Event Producer / Karate Instructor (6th Dan)
Natsuko Minegishi is a vocalist, event producer, and karate instructor whose work embodies a rare fusion of artistry and martial discipline. Born in Tokyo and based in Melbourne, she works internationally at the intersection of music and Budo, producing performances and cultural projects that bridge East and West.
She holds postgraduate degrees in music from University of Melbourne and Amsterdam Conservatorium. Deeply committed to promoting Japanese song worldwide, she has performed extensively, including a recital at Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, and has released the Japanese art song album Wagokoro.
Her parallel path in karate reflects a lifelong pursuit of discipline and refinement. She is founder and chief instructor of Karyukai, a Shotokan karate dojo in Melbourne. A former competitor, she won kata medals in Europe, Japan, and Australia, and is the only artist to have created and performed works combining live singing with karate kata.
Beyond music and martial arts, Natsuko is a certified personal trainer and a Budo-based calligrapher, creating works under the brand SUMI ART BY NATSUKO. Her multidisciplinary career reflects a deep commitment to artistry, discipline, and international cultural exchange.
